For girls' football in Kenya, it is one of the few competitions that consistently puts young players in front of coaches who can take them further, including toward the Harambee Starlets setup.

A team that has won the Central Region three times and is pushing for a fourth is not just collecting trophies. The players coming through that environment are the ones who tend to show up later at higher levels.

What comes next

The 27 August semi-final in Kirinyaga is the only fixture confirmed at this stage. A win sets up a Central Region final and, with it, the chance to make that fourth title official.
