Two clubs on opposite sides of Europe have quietly made some of the more interesting kit supplier announcements of the summer — and if you care about where brands are showing up in football, both are worth a second look.

Grimsby Town and Vitória SC
Lotto Sport (Grimsby Town) and Hummel (Vitória SC)
Both deals have been reported by Footy Headlines ahead of the 2026-27 season. No kits have been revealed yet — these are supplier partnership announcements. Direct club statements have not been independently verified at time of publication.
No designs have been released for either club at this stage. According to Footy Headlines: Grimsby will wear Lotto from 2026-27 onwards under a multi-year agreement, while Vitória SC will carry the Hummel chevrons for the next five seasons. Actual kit reveals are still to come.
For Grimsby supporters, the Lotto name carries a certain nostalgic weight — the Italian brand had a visible presence in English football during the 1990s and early 2000s before largely retreating from the market. Seeing it back on a Football League club is the kind of thing that gets kit enthusiasts talking. On X, the general mood among Grimsby fans has been curious rather than sceptical — Lotto's heritage in the sport is well-regarded, even if the brand has been absent from English grounds for a while.
Vitória SC's Hummel deal has drawn a warmer immediate response, partly because Hummel's recent output — particularly in Scandinavia and across lower-profile European leagues — has earned genuine respect from the kit community. A five-year commitment is a statement of intent from both parties. Hummel doesn't hand out long deals lightly, and Vitória aren't a club that tends to make noise without reason.
Lotto back in English football is the headline here — it's rare enough to be genuinely interesting, and Grimsby are a club with enough history and character to carry an unconventional supplier choice. The multi-year length is vague for now, but the direction of travel is clear.
The Hummel-Vitória SC partnership is the quieter of the two announcements and probably the more structurally significant. Five years is a long runway. Neither club has disclosed financial terms for their respective deals, so the commercial weight of both agreements remains unknown — but in kit terms, two clubs going into 2026-27 with something different on the badge is never a bad thing.
Lotto hasn't supplied an English club in years. Someone at Blundell Park clearly noticed.
Note: Both deals are reported via Footy Headlines. We're seeking direct club statements and will update this piece with official confirmation and source links when available.
