Two changes for Belgium against France

Kick-off is 7:45pm BST, and the two switches were confirmed as part of the Guardian's live blog coverage of the fixture.

Seys gets the nod at left-back ahead of De Cuyper, who has been a regular fixture for Brighton this season. The Guardian's teamsheet details don't go beyond naming the starting XI, so there's no word yet on whether the change is tactical, injury-related or straightforward rotation.

Lavia's return is the other change. The Chelsea midfielder has had his season disrupted by fitness issues, so his inclusion in the starting XI rather than on the bench is worth flagging on its own terms. He comes in for Raskin, who has been a steady presence in Belgium's midfield since his move to Rangers.

Both De Cuyper and Raskin drop to the bench for a Nations League fixture against France, one of the more testing assignments on Belgium's calendar. Belgium's staff haven't detailed their thinking beyond the teamsheet itself, and the Guardian's live blog hasn't offered further explanation of either call.
