How our articles are made

Most of our articles are drafted by AI from public reporting by other news outlets. Every outlet an article draws on is credited and linked at the foot of that article.

Before an article is published, automated checks run on it. For most articles these include a separate AI review of the draft against written rules on accuracy, sourcing and attribution. Articles that pass are published automatically, without a person reviewing each one first.

The people who run Flagside monitor what is published, and remove or correct errors when they find them.
