Konsa is already sorting Arsenal's Saliba problem

Konsa arrived from Aston Villa this summer for £55m, a serious fee for a defender who spent his club career at Villa Park rather than at a traditional 'big six' side. Suddenly the newest name in the squad wasn't competing for minutes, he was the one Arteta needed to trust straight away.

None of that fixes the actual issue, which is that Arsenal's best centre-back pairing is currently unavailable to them. But if Konsa keeps performing like he did at the Emirates, Arteta's problem stops being a crisis and starts looking like a genuinely useful selection headache.
