According to Sky Sports, Everton have identified free agent Jamie Vardy as a possible fix for their striker shortage after a move for Folarin Balogun collapsed. Vardy left Leicester City as a club legend and has been a free agent since, and the idea of him lining up for Everton under David Moyes has an odd symmetry given his history of tormenting bigger clubs from smaller ones. The Balogun deal falling through is doing a lot of the work here: this only becomes a live option because Everton's first choice didn't happen.

Richarlison's apparent Trabzonspor exit

Sky Sports also reports that Richarlison has agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor, with the Brazilian forward described as wantaway at Tottenham. Richarlison arrived at Spurs from Everton with plenty of goodwill and has never quite nailed down a consistent run in Ange Postecoglou's side. A move to the Turkish Süper Lig would be a significant drop in profile for a player who started for Brazil at the last World Cup, and it says something about how far his stock has slipped in north London that this is even being floated.

Chelsea offered Bissouma as Enzo cover

The third strand: Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Yves Bissouma from Tottenham, with the suggestion he could serve as a replacement for Enzo Fernández. Chelsea signing a player directly out of Tottenham's squad would be the unusual part here, two rivals rarely trade midfielders. Fernández has been central to Enzo Maresca's midfield, so 'replacement' is doing a lot of speculative heavy lifting in a story that reads more like an agent shopping a player around than a genuine Chelsea plan.

Which of these actually has legs

Of the three, Richarlison to Trabzonspor carries the most weight simply because personal terms being agreed is a concrete step, not just a name floated by an agent. Vardy to Everton depends entirely on the Balogun deal staying dead, which makes it conditional rather than live. Bissouma to Chelsea is the loosest of the lot: an offer relayed to a club is not interest, let alone a bid, and Fernández isn't going anywhere on the evidence available.

All three stories come from newspaper reporting rather than club confirmation, and transfer windows are full of names that never make it past the paper talk stage. Worth watching, not worth believing yet.
