Burnley, for their part, need a name that moves the needle without costing a fortune in wages. On paper, there is a logic here.
Everything, essentially. A formal approach, a conversation, a contract, a medical — none of it has been reported. The bookmakers are not the club's HR department. Until someone with a press pass and a source picks this up, Gerrard to Burnley is a price, not a story.
