Armenia host Montenegro in Yerevan

Form points one way

Montenegro have won three of their last five recent matches, drawn one and lost one. Armenia's corresponding line reads one win, two draws and two defeats, the win a 2–0 result against Latvia last Wednesday. Before that came successive 1–1 draws with Moldova and Kazakhstan, and before those a 1–2 defeat to Belarus and a 1–9 loss to Portugal in November.

Montenegro's run includes a 2–1 win over Cyprus on the same evening Armenia beat Latvia, a 1–0 victory against Bulgaria in June and a 2–0 win over Andorra in March. The defeat was 2–3 to Slovenia, also in March; the draw came against Slovakia in June, 2–2.

What the market expects

The market-implied probability has Montenegro as narrow favourites at 38.5 per cent, with Armenia at 31.3 per cent and the draw at 30.3. The percentages track the form: the side that has won three of five is preferred to the side that has won one, but not by a distance that rules out either result.

The four meetings held in the head-to-head record contain 15 goals in total. The most recent, in June 2025, finished 2–2. Before that Armenia won twice, 1–0 in March 2022 and 3–2 in November 2016, and lost once, 4–1 in June 2017.
