Jeffrey Schlupp: from Leicester's title heroics to Norwich City

The Leicester years that made him

Jeffrey Schlupp came through Leicester City's academy and made his senior bow while on loan at Brentford in 2011, scoring twice in one of his earliest outings for the Bees. Back at the King Power Stadium, he grew into a genuinely two-way threat, equally comfortable bombing forward from left-back or cutting in from the left flank. Eight years of service at Crystal Palace

In January 2017, Schlupp made the move to Crystal Palace for a reported £12 million, and what followed was nearly a decade of consistent, unglamorous excellence. He passed 200 Premier League appearances for the Eagles and produced some memorable moments along the way, including an outside-of-the-boot flick against Manchester United that was shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month, and a stunning late equaliser against Fulham in April 2024 that he later called the best goal of his career, a strike his manager Oliver Glasner described as "amazing" and "a fantastic finish". His Palace career reached a fitting high point when the club won the FA Cup in 2024-25, before his exit was confirmed at the end of that season after eight years at Selhurst Park.

A loan north of the border, then Norwich

Before leaving Palace for good, Schlupp had a taste of Scottish football, joining Celtic on loan in February 2025 for the remainder of that season and picking up a Scottish Premiership winner's medal as part of the champions' squad.

When his Palace contract officially ended, Schlupp did not hang up his boots. In July 2025 he signed a one-year deal with Norwich City ahead of their 2025-26 Championship campaign, giving the Canaries the experience of a Premier League title winner and a player who has made well over 400 senior club appearances across a long career. That contract has since been confirmed to run its course, with Norwich announcing in April 2026 that Schlupp will leave the club once it expires that summer.

Still involved, still playing
